Rt Honourable Meranda announced the constitution of the committees during plenary session on Monday, 10 February, 2025.
The standing committees and their chairmen are:
Business and Rules Committee headed by the Majority Leader, Honourable Temitope Adewale
Legislative Compliance Committee led by the Deputy Majority Leader, Honourable Adedamola Richard Kasumu
The House Services Committee to be chaired by Honourable Surajudeen Tijani aka Emir
The Ethics, Protocol and Privileges Committee led by the Chief Whip, Honourable Setonji David
The Information, Strategy and Security Committee, led by Honourable Stephen Ogundipe
Upon her assumption of office as Speaker, Meranda had dissolved all standing committees. In the coming days, additional committee chairmen are expected to be announced.
