According to reports from SaharaReporters, the kidnappers have reached out to Dr. Adeniji’s family, demanding a hefty ransom of N350 million for his safe return. However, sources close to the case have confirmed that the director remains in captivity.
Dr. Adeniji’s appointment as Director of Administration in August 2024 came after the resignation of his predecessor, Prof. Alaba Adediwura. His role within the ruling party has been crucial, making this incident all the more alarming.
This kidnapping is not an isolated event. Recently, retired Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga, former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was also abducted.
