God Hears Tinubu’s Prayers More Than Nigerians’

God hears Tinubu’s prayers more than He hears the whining and wailings of poor Nigerians and I think it is time for Nigerians to change their prayer points to be in tandem with that of the president and here is why! Forget that pastor that said he went to heaven, saw God and drank tea with Him.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Tinubu was the one who went to heaven, saw God and drank tea with the Lord. In that meeting, he gave God a laundry of his wish list and He the Lord approved them all including the purchase of a new presidential fleet, reconstruction of Vice President’s Lodge, procurement of new generation armoured SUVs and other expensive luxury items that in no way support the fact that the country is broke.

It was Tinubu who while in heaven rode with God in gold and diamond plated Range Rover, not that pastor that made the fabulous claim. Forget the predictions of those fake prophets and primates’ who tell us that ‘Tinubu has no solution to Nigeria’s problem’. Do not take this b—sht to the bank.

Tinubu knows Nigeria’s problems and how to solve them, only that he is not serious about applying the Chinese method. Some have said the cabals have pocketed him, an allegation he denies. God settled Tinubu with Nigeria as his farm land. He made him president and appointed him to rule over us.

Imagine, from all the crisis of identity that dogged him, he still became Nigeria’s first citizen. If not God, who else can make a champion from someone with such enormous controversies? For many years that he plotted his way to power, he suffered disappointments, dissension and betrayals but God perfected his ways.

I don’t know how many people with such ambition realised it including the sorcerers with God’s direct hotlines. At the appointed time, when the trumpet sounded lifting the ban on campaign, he casually proclaimed ‘it is my turn’. While others were labouring in vain and parading their glossy manifestos, Tinubu reminded God it’s ‘Emi lo kan’. God kept to His words and gave Tinubu his turn.

Against all obstacles, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him the winner and the Supreme Court sanctioned the declaration after some people went to court to challenge the outcome. God hears Tinubu’s prayers! It’s his turn to be president and so it shall be, and so it became.

When it was almost certain as the daylight that Tinubu will be President he went back to God and made the supplication that He bless him with the hardened heart of former President Muhammadu Buhari because he wants to continue with Buhari’s legacy. God paused for a while to be sure his anointed president understood very well what he was asking for. For Nigerians, the Buhari regime was a nightmare and they wanted it over with.

But here is Nigeria’s brand-new president asking to continue from where Buhari stopped. Under Buhari, Nigerians suffered untold hardship, the economy was dilapidated, and security was challenged and stretched beyond limit. Every imaginable and unimaginable thing happened? At one point, Nigerians went on rampage due to police brutality.

The country went through horror as the government was almost brought down. Every reasonable person wanted an end to the dysfunctional regime.

While PO was preaching how he will move Nigeria from consumption to production – forgetting the fact that despite being an accomplished business man, PO as a trader was importing commodities and had no production plant to his name. He nevertheless garnered millions of votes to contend that he actually won the popular votes.

The Holy Book tells us that God grants us according to our prayers. God gave to Tinubu according to his heart’s desire, irrespective of the fact that the majority of Nigerians want nothing to do with the Buhari era.

On delivering his inaugural address, God planted it in his heart to proclaim the removal of petroleum subsidy which by the way wasn’t part of the written speech.

Upon completion of the speech and before he left the Eagle Square, the prices of petrol, gas and food skyrocketed beyond the reach of the common man.

We had insecurity during Buhari which resulted in low harvest as farmers cannot go to the farms except if we defeat the bandits. While the new president fiddles, insecurity expands due to failed policies.

Today, no part of Nigeria is safe. In continuing with Buhari’s legacy of mindless borrowing, the president embraced IMF policies. Rather than protect and defend the naira, he floated the naira hence the free fall of the local currency.

The IMF got him where they wanted us. No country had survived IMF interference but the street boy no longer minds the street, hence he caved to the economic hit men of the West.

The president hiked the electricity tariff and increased interest rates by 26.75%. That is the most foolish thing to do in the face of rising unemployment rate and galloping inflation which rose from 22.8% in 2023 to 34.2% by June 2024 putting Nigeria among the top 10 countries with the highest inflation rate in the world and Africa.

The hike in interest rate translates that most private sector businesses will close down as no business can survive it, and unemployment will rise beyond 30% and inflation will bite harder.

The naira will continue its free fall due to unrestricted importation of essential commodities. Whatever the President is doing, God has settled him, and as such he must not allow this roof to crash on his head.

Whether he accepts the peoples’ justifiable anger or not, the bitter truth is that people are unhappy, hungry and angry and the least they demand is an end to bad governance. Not a tall order.

As elites we ought to be ashamed that we are not providing good leadership and a better future for our children. If things continue this way the government may have to contend with many future uprisings.

It is not enough to argue that this current protest is sponsored by opposition parties, what he expects from them. As an opposition leader, he was in the forefront of protests and in fact the agitator in chief. I listened to the President’s broadcast in the early morning of August 4. He made a great speech, the best he could give but didn’t address the basic issues that necessitated the people’s outrage.

I expected the President to recognise the people’s right to peaceful protest and come hard against violence and brutal crackdown by law enforcement agents against peaceful protester. Some of the deaths recorded were avoidable as stifling protest is antithesis to democracy.

He also failed to address the key issues that will mitigate the current sufferings of the people. As President he must not be conflicted in making very important decisions, such as gasoline price and importation. It still makes no sense to a lot of Nigerians that the country is importing refined petrol.

That we lacked the capacity to refine the crude for our domestic consumption at a time we ought to be exporting refined petroleum products to other African countries to say the least is gibberish.

We must make our national refineries work, encourage private local refineries to work, end oil theft and corruption in the oil and gas sector to reduce pressure on the naira. The President’s first duty is to serve Nigeria’s interest and not IMF and other foreign interests.
