At Igbo Ward 4, Polling Unit 5, in Ilaje Local Government Area, APC received an impressive 128 votes, overshadowing PDP’s modest total of only 3 votes. This notable result reflects a strong endorsement from voters in the area.

In addition to Agboola, Governor Aiyedatiwa faces competition from Olorunfemi Festus of the Labour Party and Abbas Mimiko of the Zenith Labour Party, making the contest a multi-party race that tests the popularity and reach of each candidate across the state.

Earlier in the day, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed optimism and praised the orderly conduct of the election. Following his vote, he commended the high voter turnout and noted the peaceful atmosphere at polling stations. Confident in his administration’s efforts over the past ten months, he emphasized his belief that his track record would lead to a favorable outcome.

“With what we have accomplished over the last 10 months, I’m confident that the people recognize our dedication and know whom they want to lead them,” he stated. “I believe I hold a strong position in this election, given the efforts we’ve made since I assumed office. We’ve visited every one of the state’s 18 local government areas and connected directly with communities throughout Ondo.”

Describing the experience in his own community, Aiyedatiwa added, “It’s been peaceful here, and the turnout is very encouraging. I trust that this sense of calm and commitment is being seen across other areas of the state.”

Governor Aiyedatiwa’s comments, along with his strong performance in his polling unit, underscore his confidence as the election unfolds and votes are tallied across Ondo state.
